    1. How exactly does enforcing building codes destroy the town? I'm honestly curious, as I've not lived here long, and reading this, it looks just like every other code enforcement law in every town I've ever lived in...and they all still exist and aren't "destroyed."

  4. This should not just worry the people of Marlinton if their elected official get by with this is the whole county next? The whole county needs to come out in force and say NO Zoning. Send a message to Felton "If you wants someone checking your every move, go some place else." Sad day for Pocahontas County when something like this would even come up.

    1. You do realize Marlinton doesn't speak for the "whole county" right? In fact, there's an entire STATE outside the little bubble of Marlinton. Shocking I know!!

    2. And shocking yes I know this ordinance is in violation of WV and Federal law. The economy is about to take a total crap. Most major international level investors in US have already pulled out and a waiting fr the eminent crash. Others had placed mass fortunes on hedge bets to make money WHEN it all crashes. There are many major things happening that will totally cripple all basic live sustaining function in this Republic. IF you add on such burdens and BS such as this over reach, then you cripple those who barely get by now, and will all be devastated very soon. And don't EVER assume WV has funds for basic needs or to cover any hardship or disaster as it is so corrupt it is already been moved hidden and many pocketed away. Already this State gets $ Millions a year frm many different federal programs and agencies. Do some research call and pull last 5 or 10 years on these. Then read WHAT WV is supposed to do with that money, and find out in most cases they have never done it. So where does all that money go? And that is Federal grant and benefit fraud. Now focus in on all funds with any connection to drugs, addiction, crime drug related, "treatment", programs. Then look at what the State MUST do with that money, then look at those programs, if you can even find them. More so look into ALL moneys Pocahontas count gets for WHAT. Where did it all go? Good start it all things of DOJ, those are online and also can call and they can send via email all those Federal reports, and then read those "contract" rules for taking the money, then look for it. Have questions ask those at those federal agencies to help explain things on their end. What you will find is WV and this county is corrupt as shit. They also seem to have a need for a drug problem, as that is where all the oil that greases the whole machine comes from. From the destruction of lives, furthers, hope, and families with generations total devastation which others profit from. SEE Something Say something. Report it

    3. That makes since then why the Governors office and others in Charleston told law enforcement to stand down and stop with the drug busts of dealers, stop the investigations, and the big players. All while telling them to reduce charges and busts from felonies down to misdemeanors so the numbers the Governors office needs to get more funds to "prove" he is busting and trying to stop drugs can still come in as that will fix / fudge the real numbers. Then told them to not bust, arrest or charge for certain levels of certain drugs at all. To just let it go. They could still go after all the victims of these drug games , and the small players to continue to get all the money in for all those programs. But not to stop and bust the drugs really coming in and being dealt out. What reprehensible pigs profiting off all of this.

  5. I honestly think it would be a good thing. Places like Fran Manner should be condemned. It is a filthy place and a cesspool.

  6. What exactly is it that folks are concerned about? Since this has already been a law and will now just actually be enforced, if you keep your buildings up to code, you shouldn't have a concern. If you are a slumlord, that's on you as an individual. I doubt many businesses let their properties go to ruin even without enforcement of codes.
