Rumors, Gossip and Innuendo

Reflecting on this day,  I wanted to share just a sample of the stuff that comes across the desk of the Commentator.

1.  I am hearing that there are electrical problems at the high school with some of the conduct being subject to arcing.  Basically,  some of the wiring is making contact with the outer shell.  This could be very dangerous.

2.  Some citizens are raising concerns about the effect of "wireless connections" on the health of school children.

3.  If the levy passes, a new high school will be built at Greenbank.

4.  The Senior Center at Greenbank may be closing soon.

5.  Bullying seems to be expanding.  But in a strange way the schools seem to go gunning for those who stick up for themselves.

6. Then too we hear that there is a great loss of morale in the system with teachers feeling that they are being bullied.

7. If the levy passes, there is reason to believe that Hillsboro school will be closed completely.

  1. #5 above: Parents who get no where w/ the schools, or the District to stop the abuse &/or then singling out of their children. Or who notice that since they are vocal, that now their children are being abused as a form of harassment to make the parents stop complaining about these violations, simply can go online & look up & then submit form & call the US Dept of Education, office of Civil Rights compliance & discrimination & file complaint there. Look up what all that consists of before filling out & filing the complaint. Many things you wouldn't think of fit in these categories. Remember Gifted kids are also under Fed classification Special Education ie "special needs". Then many things fall under a broad category for sexual harassment or discrimination. The key here is that all children based on each child's personal educations needs & requirements is guaranteed a "FREE and APPROPRIATE education". This is key. Because IF they can't provide it due to their lacking, THEN THEY must pay for tuition at an appropriate private school AND transportation & other fees & costs involved. There is alot of case law on this as well as look up the WV Dept of Ed, & the US Dept of Ed codes/regulations. They are all online. As well Districts also have codes & those are supposed to be easily accessed by parents & students.. now ie online.

#6 seems that all comes w/ the territory if #5 is happening, & the way our County in General is run & by whom.

#2 above: wifi signals were a big debate in the 90s in schools the move was to get them out ASAP. Many studies done, & many since then. Yes they cause harm. The results were the schools were all moving away from that. Then in stepped some major Corporations & the Federal Government & they promoted it again & alot of equipment (& software - basically like 3rd party data mining & look it up in the Federal ed & the Corporate partners, they all get direct info & create metadata files on your children to keeps forever as their "citizen" files. Then they get kickbacks from the big Corporations. So gov agencies, including DHS & Corporations all get to use it. Those Google Chromebooks are part of it, & Microsoft they all gather the data including audio/video via the microphones/cameras. As well they state they the Schools, gov have a right to have access to your child's email accounts & social media.) that was being provided to the schools had a caveat that WIFI would be used. So then since it was free or reduced "stuff", the whole "what about the children" went out the window.. (perhaps w/ the range of the new wifi too). There is no reason the schools can't have all the computers connected w/ their own shielded cat 5 cables, w/ RJ45 connectors. Someone independently can go around the schools w/ a meter & measure the levels & see how harmful certain zones are at present. And make a note on zones, & have a floor plan to match it with. There is nothing to prevent anyone from doing this. Then w/ that data, & all the online data/research (peer verified) it can then simply be presented at a school board mtg by students & parents (or even concerned citizens w/ out children in the schools, since their taxes go to the schools they have as must say also). No need to reinvent the wheel as their is so much on this online available also.

She slapped him back in defense and she was kicked out of school. The boy got nothing for what he did to her. This is not right.

  4. That boy needs to have a damn god spanking and taken to church!! This is what happens when God and the bible is taken out of the schools. You get Godless little assholes with no respect. That sweet girl did the right thing. How dear the school kick out a child for defending her God? I think we need to call out Principal Anderson on this. We all need to call the school and demand an apology from him to this little girl and her family. We must let them know this kind of Behavior will not be tolerated!

  5. Enough is Enough!! Stop spreading lies. That's not what happened at all. My son did NOT touch her. She asked him if he believed in go and he said no. She then slapped him across the face. I will not stand by and allow anyone attack my 9yr over religion. Again the girl was never touched in any way. People need to do some fact checking before running their mouth.
