Major Breaking News--Possible Windfall for Our Schools

Editor's Note:  This recent tax ruling could result in a major amount of money coming to the county.  The county owns the Howe's Leather Property, which the GVEDC leases to Howe's for almost $80,000 per month and has been doing so for several years.  The back taxes owed the county could be close to one half a million dollars.  With the sale of the Slaven's property conservation easement of nearly $300,000 this could eliminate any need for a levy!!  Throw in the Meck Solid Waste Property and the full amount needed by the Board of Education could be provided WITH NOT ONE RED CENT OF ADDITIONAL TAX MONEY!!!
