Fracking has increased domestic oil output even with Obama trying to curb it. Because of this opec has had to fight for market shares and the result is a drastic fall in oil prices .the Saudis are also doing this because of the fear of Iran. All of this is really hurting the Iranians the Russians and the Syrian goverment and Isis. Frackng scares the opec. Nations. As long as oil prices stay below 60.00 per barrel fracking in the US and Canada will not make money and stop production. The Saudis have huge cash reserves and can afford to do this a long long time add in the other opec. Nations and it runs into trillions. I assure you there are reasons to look deep and see the entire pucture. There is a lot more going on here than most understand. Good or bad frackng has the ability to shift power and economics on a global scale. The Road Runner....
Lets not forget the Russians then the Saudis are the top oil producers and we are number 3 in the world, the Saudis have huge reserves and I mean huge billions of barrels , fracking endangered that along with oil from Canada from fracking and steaming oil rich sand. The Russians are no friend to the Saudi as they support Iran and Syria.
I do think all fracking should take place a standardized distance for the water table depth , as of yet as far as I know there is no standard in place,
This has nothing to do with fracking but it is interesting. A man was arrested after he found his pet pig had ate all of his pot stash , he then got drunk and his wife called the police on him for his abusive behavior toward her, he was arrested. You know this story reminds me of someone hummmm ???????
With the price of oil so low right now fracking Is not the way to go. Oil prices need to be about 70 per barrel to make it profitable . We are the number 3 oil. Producer in the world just behind Russia and the Saudi's. Right now the Saudis stepping oil to keep prices low . My humble opinion. Is because they fear Russia supporting Syria and the USA developing. Tracking fields and oil in the gulf and the pipe line from Canada. Why our president is against the pipe line is Beyond n Me
