no real industry, no local higher education, no community leaders with vision and a desire to help someone other than them self or family and friends and no one in Charleston or dc who cares about the people here. Also for several decades outsiders were not welcome to be honest which left the ability to raise capitol for investments to the locals and we see how that went.
